Secure the bracket to a stud using approved nails or screws. Insert the copper stub out into the pipe hole, apply flux, and solder the copper, making sure to heat the tube and not the bracket. Excessive direct heat on the bracket could burn off the plated finish.
This bracket series is ideal for supporting 1/2", 3/4", or 1" nominal copper stub outs for water supply lines. Positioning holes for the copper tube are placed on 2-inch or 4-inch center lines, depending on the model number. Crafted from copper-plated steel with a protective water-based clear coat finish, these brackets are designed to resist surface rust on the jobsite. Depending on the model, extruded holes offer a broader soldering surface, and rolled edges provide additional strength.
