Using approved hardware, securely attach the bracket to the stud with a nail or screw. Insert the copper stub out into the designated pipe hole. Apply flux and proceed to solder the copper, ensuring to heat the tube and not the bracket. Beware that excessive heat directly on the bracket could compromise the plated finish.
This series of brackets is engineered to support 1/2 inch, 3/4 inch, or 1 inch nominal copper stub outs for water supply lines. Depending on the model number, positioning holes for the copper tube are precisely located on either 2-inch or 4-inch center lines. Each bracket is constructed with copper-plated steel and features a protective water-based clear coat finish to prevent surface rust upon arrival at the job site. Additionally, some models are equipped with extruded holes for an expanded soldering area and may also include rolled edges for added durability.
