Secure the bracket to the stud using approved hardware such as nails or screws. Insert the copper stub-out into the designated pipe hole. Apply flux and solder while ensuring the heat is directed at the tube, not the bracket, to prevent damage to the plated finish. Overheating the bracket could result in the removal of the copper plating.
This bracket series is essential for supporting 1/2", 3/4", or 1" nominal copper stub-outs used in water supply lines. The positioning holes for copper tubes are situated on 2-inch or 4-inch center lines, depending on the model number. Crafted from copper-plated steel with a protective water-based clear coat finish, these brackets resist surface rust upon arrival at the job site. Depending on the model, brackets may include extruded holes for an enhanced soldering surface and rolled edges for added strength.
