Using approved hardware, secure the bracket with a nail or screw to the stud. Insert the copper stub out into the pipe hole. Apply flux and solder the copper, ensuring you heat the tube, not the bracket. Excessive heat directly applied to the bracket could burn off the plated finish.
This series of brackets is ideal for supporting 1/2", 3/4", or 1" nominal copper stub outs for water supply lines. Positioning holes for the copper tube are located on 2-inch or 4-inch center lines, depending on the model number. Manufactured from copper-plated steel with a protective water-based clear coat finish, these brackets are designed to minimize surface rust upon arrival at the job site. Depending on the model, the brackets may feature extruded holes for a wider soldering surface and rolled edges for additional strength.
