Using approved hardware, secure the bracket to the stud with a nail or screw. Insert the copper stub out into the pipe hole. Apply flux and solder the copper, ensuring the heat is applied to the tube rather than the bracket. Excessive heat on the bracket may burn off the plated finish.
This bracket series is designed to support 1/2", 3/4", or 1" nominal copper stub outs for water supply lines. Positioning holes for the copper tube are strategically placed on 2-inch or 4-inch center lines, depending on the model number. Manufactured with copper-plated steel and a protective water-based clear coat finish, it minimizes surface rust upon arrival at the job site. Depending on the model, the bracket may feature extruded holes for a broader soldering surface and rolled edges for enhanced strength.
