Using approved hardware, secure the bracket to the stud with a nail or screw. Insert the copper stub out into the pipe hole, apply flux, and solder the copper, ensuring you heat the tube and not the bracket. Excessive direct heat on the bracket could damage the plated finish.
This series of brackets is designed to support 1/2", 3/4", or 1" nominal copper stub outs for water supply lines. The positioning holes for the copper tube are located on 2-inch or 4-inch center lines, varying by model number. Each bracket is manufactured with copper-plated steel and includes a water-based clear coat finish to minimize surface rust upon arrival at the job site. Depending on the model, the bracket may feature extruded holes for a larger soldering surface and rolled edges for additional strength.
